Gretchen had her first haircut today. She'll be two and a half in a couple months, and with the approach of hot weather, Maggie's worried about her hair getting too sweaty. So it was time. Of course, she was also worried about how Gretchen would look with shorter hair. I told her not to worry; Gretchen would be cute bald. We'll test this hypothesis next week.

loved these last batches of Frank-Gretchen photos. I love pictures of kiddies when they aren´t afraid of looking into the camera without smiling, yet without trying not to smile either, it´s a look of a rare sincerity that I think most of us (particularly women) lose very quickly. Thanks for putting these up, PB. They´re precious!
