Gretchen is walking more and more. The differences between her and Franklin keep making themselves consipicuous. For one thing, like her namesake, my chubby older sister, and like our beagle, Gretchen does not know the meaning of "full" and can eat and eat and eat. Mealtimes with Franklin continue to be a struggle. With Gretchen, we're just being careful not to introduce ice cream too early.
She is incredibly adventurous. Where her brother is careful, Gretchen is a thrill seeker. Today at the park, she climbed up every jungle gym and went down every slide with minimal help from mom or dad. For a kid who can barely walk, she crawls and climbs like there's no tomorrow.
