Contractions

Gretchen is making her presence known. We visited the doctor on Monday and Maggie reported that Gretchen's kicks are as powerful as her brothers, might it be possible that she has long legs? The doctor, who you may remember, is a card, told us that she has short legs and long arms "like a monkey" now go, go, go. Actually, he measured them, and they look to be longish.

Fetal weight is about 900 grams, and we're at 28 weeks.

These last three or four days have seen the onset of Braxton Hicks contractions. They're coming about the same time they came with Franklin, just after summer. Maggie's in the bed, reading A Wrinkle in Time. She finished the Harry Potter books 1-6, and was hinting that she'd like to start reading through them again. I think she made it through 10 pages of The Fellowship of the Ring before giving it up as a bad choice. We're going to go see our funny doctor again tomorrow to see what's up.
